About Me
I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri with my family and a menagerie of animals. I began writing in first grade (my first book was a ten page mystery: The Wrong Way Horse) and continued writing into my teenage years. I attended Rice University, where I taught a semester course titled Werewolves, Zombies, and Why We're Afraid of the Dark: A Brief History of Monsters. I later graduated with degrees in Computer Science, Psychology, and Cognitive Science.
I now live in Houston with my husband, where I write novels, short fiction, and blog posts. When not writing, I host weekly board game nights and volunteer with children and adoptable animals. I also knit, travel, talk to my pets, and read comic books.
In 2017, I placed third overall in the Horror Addicts' Next Great Horror Writer Contest. Since then, I have had many short stories published and have completed two novels.
